Chez Ingalls

Chez Ingalls is a lovely restaurant, a bit hidden in the city center of Annecy, not far from the train station, it offers fresh dishes according to the seasons. They serve traditional French cuisine made with local products with a touch a world cuisine and spices. They are opened since 2004 and you can eat there at anytime during the day (service continu from 12h until 22h for burgers, tartares and tapas).

The restaurant is nice and cosy, you will have a top floor dining room, a lovely terasse and a veranda (mostly for smokers).  The veranda is heated in the winter. The cocktails are very good and original too which makes it a trendy place to be.

Whenever I go there, it is full, mostly known by locals who want to have nice homemade food (not frozen food like many restaurants in the Old Town). It can also be privatized for special occasions.

French brasserie specialties offer a delightful taste of traditional French cuisine, characterized by their casual yet refined atmosphere. Classic dishes include coq au vin, a hearty chicken braised in red wine, and steak frites, featuring juicy steak paired with crispy fries. Other favorites are moules marinières, a flavorful mussel dish cooked in white wine and garlic, and crème brûlée, a rich custard topped with a caramelized sugar crust. Brasseries often emphasize fresh, seasonal ingredients and serve a variety of wines, enhancing the dining experience. These establishments celebrate conviviality, making them perfect spots for enjoying both comforting dishes and vibrant French culture.
