Arpettaz’s Col

Arpettaz’s col is near Ugine, it is well known by cyclists or hikers. It is 1581 m high from there you can admire the Aravis mountains and Mont Blanc. In the summer, Arpettaz’s Col is a lovely place for hiking and pik niking.
Ugine is about 45 min drive from Annecy, to get to Arpettaz, follow Héry/Ugine, follow la route des montagnes, Mont-Dessus, Col de l’Arpettaz.
 
From Ugine, you can reach Megève, a famous ski resort, be aware that the road Val d Arly, there is narrow and often closed as stones are falling down so you might have to follow a deviation.
