Every Christmas holiday, you can admire “Les Flottins” in the lovely city of Evian-les-bains by Lake Leman. A pleasure for all and a magical moment. Les Flottins’s little village is entirely built from driftwood pieces washed up by the river or lake, every year you will discover some new things.
Since 2007, Evian is decorated for 3 weeks and you can also see some circus perfomers, actors, musicians, storytellers… The local schools also are happy to participate to this event.
Les Flottins village is eco-friendly, the wood is collected by the shores of Lake Leman and Génissiat dam, the communication is mostly digital and the snacks offered are locally produced.
It is all free and you just have to walk in the streets of Evian, you can also enjoy some tales or activities for kids.
Mid afternoon is a good time to go, you can enjoy some drinks and snacks there, discover the village by day and wait until the night comes to enjoy it with the lights for another feeling. A good alternative to traditional Christmas markets.
