Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and most notably the Aiguille du Midi, it is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and is known as the “gateway to the European Cascades.” The commune is well known and loved by skiers and mountain enthusiasts of all types, and via the cable car lift to the Aiguille du Midi it is possible to access the world-famous off-piste ski run of the Vallée Blanche.

Enjoy a cosmopolitan city near Italy and Switzerland, you will find restaurants with local and international food.

It is also a good place for some shopping or just strolling around.

Many activities for family with kids there: cable cars to Aiguille du Midi, train to Montenvers, cable car to Brévent (for a view opposite Mont Blanc), lovely spas, really nice public indoor and outdoor swimming pools with a view on Mont Blanc…
The QC spa thermes is a lovely bubbly place to treat yourself but if you are on a budget the public swimming pool also has a lovely view on Mont Bland and a nice garden.
During the summer months, the area transforms into a hiker’s paradise, with trails ranging from easy walks to challenging climbs, including routes that lead to the stunning Mont Blanc. Paragliding offers breathtaking aerial views of the mountains, while mountain biking trails provide thrilling descents.
