Lake Como

End of April, we went to Lake Como (North Italy), the lake is very beautiful, different from Lake Annecy, it has a mediteranean feel with all the exotic flowers, trees and the Italian colours are lovely.

Unfortunately, the weather was not so great during our 3 days stay but we still enjoyed it very much. It is easy to travel by boat from one place to another, we visited Bellagio, Varenna and Como.

The villages, villas and gardens are beautiful, enjoy the dolce vita!

Also known as Lario, is the third largest of the Italian lakes (after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore). With a maximum depth of approximately 410 meters (448 yards), Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe.

Its characteristic shape, reminiscent of an inverted Y, results from the melting of glaciers combined with the erosive action of the ancient Adda river. This led to the formation of the two southern branches, in the midst of which there is the world popular Bellagio.

Located at the foot of the Alps, Lake Como provides one of the most picturesque sceneries in the world.

The food as most places in Italy is very nice, you will find some nice Lake Fishes, ice creams!

Enjoy a Spritz on a terrase!

A road trip from Lake Annecy to Lake Como via the Mont Blanc Tunnel is a breathtaking journey. Start by departing from Lake Annecy, taking the A40 then D205 towards Chamonix, where you can enjoy magnificent alpine scenery. Then head towards the Mont Blanc Tunnel. After crossing the tunnel, which is approximately 11.6 kilometers long, you will enter Italy in the Val d’Aosta region. Follow the A5 towards Aosta, then take the A4 towards Milan, exiting at Lecco for Lake Como. The drive offers panoramic views of the Alps, charming villages, and the sparkling waters of Lake Como, where you can explore its stunning lakeside towns and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine.
